A romantic one bedroomed attic apartment (sleeps 2) on the top floor of a category ‘C’ listed building (the historic former Greyfriars Hostel) Greyfriars Attic is located in the Grassmarket area of the Old Town.

Snug and beautifully modernised, Greyfriars Attic has fabulous views across the gardens of Greyfriars Kirkyard and the rooftops of old Edinburgh. It’s just a step away from the Grassmarket and its wonderful restaurants, shops and historic buildings and a few minutes walk from Greyfriars Bobby and the National Museum of Scotland. A five minute stroll up Victoria Street (more fabulous shops and restaurants) takes you to The Royal Mile and from there on to Edinburgh Castle.

Greyfriars Attic is currently undergoing a refurbishment and upgrade program and will be available for holiday accommodation from June 2010.

Guests tell us (and we agree) that the views from the apartment and its privacy are more than worth the climb, but Greyfriars Attic is a top floor attic apartment and so may not be suitable for some persons of limited mobility.
